LMC office hrs extended till Mar 31 for tax deposit | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Lucknow Municipal Corporation has extended working hours of its zonal offices to facilitate commercial and house tax collection before close of financial year.Officials said all zonal offices will remain open from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. On Mar 30 and 31, offices will function from 10 am to 11 pm. A special drive will also be carried out on these days to recover pending house tax.The civic body urged taxpayers to clear dues before Mar 31 to avoid paying interest. Officials said 12% interest will be charged on house tax payments after deadline.LMC officials said the extended hours were aimed at ensuring maximum tax compliance and giving defaulters an opportunity to clear their pending dues within the financial year.
