Air calibration of landing, navigational system conducted at Ayodhya airport

Lucknow: The semi-annual air calibration of the landing and navigational systems installed at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhya, was successfully completed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) using its special aircraft, VT-CNS.Air calibration ensures that aircraft can land safely and precisely even in poor weather or low-visibility conditions.During the process, the accuracy, alignment, and performance of major navigational aids were inspected.The entire operation was conducted under the guidance of communication, navigation and surveillance in-charge of Ayodhya airport, Anil Kumar. Experts and technical teams from the AAI monitored the process and ensured full compliance with international aviation standards.The equipment was found to be functioning properly, meeting the required benchmarks.Airport director Dhirendra Singh congratulated officers and staff involved in calibration.Flights cancelled due to airspace closure amid US-Israel strike on IranSeveral international flights from Lucknow Airport to Gulf destinations were cancelled on Saturday following the closure of Dubai airspace amid military intervention with airstrikes by US-Israel on Iran.According to airport officials, IndiGo departures from Lucknow including flights to Abu Dhabi (6E 1415; scheduled for 8.45pm), Dammam (6E 097; scheduled for 9pm) and Lucknow to Sharjah (6E 1423; scheduled for 10pm), were cancelled.IndiGo flight (6E 098) from Dammam to Lucknow, which was scheduled to arrive at 8pm, was also affected.
