CM, leaders condole death of senior Hindi journalist | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Tributes poured in from across the political and administrative spheres on the demise of senior journalist Vidhi Singh, who passed away Friday night following a cardiac arrest.His last rites were performed at Baikunth Dham on Saturday. He was 52.Singh worked with a leading Hindi daily in Lucknow.Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condoled Singh’s passing and prayed to Lord Rama to grant eternal peace to the departed soul. He also conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak on X posted that he was deeply saddened by the news. He was present at Singh’s cremation at Baikunth Dham on Saturday.UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, UP Congress president Ajay Rai, Mayor Sushma Kharakwal, BJP MP Dinesh Sharma and SP leader Arvind Singh Gope also conveyed their condolences.Amopng those attended Singh’s last rites were BJP MLAs Rajeshwar Singh and Yogesh Shukla, MLC Pawan Singh, and BJP leader Neeraj Singh. Senior police officials, including DGP Rajeev Krishna and ADG law and order Amitabh Yash, were also present at the cremation. He is survived by his wife Rohini Singh and their daughter.
