Lucknow: A woman foiled a chain-snatching attempt in Sector 11 of Vrindavan Colony on Wednesday morning.The incident was captured live on CCTV cameras, aiding police to identify the accused.Victim Rita was seated outside her residence when a youth arrived on a motorcycle. According to residents, the suspect was seen circling the colony at least two times earlier, apparently scouting the area.A short while later, the youth returned and attempted to snatch Rita’s gold chain. In a swift reaction, she resisted and managed to grab hold of the assailant, preventing him from escaping immediately. In a bid to break free, the accused allegedly accelerated his motorcycle, causing Rita to lose balance and fall onto the road. She, however, raised an alarm, prompting neighbours to rush out of their homes. Seeing residents gather, the accused sped away.
