Anganwadi, ASHA workers’ honorarium up | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced an increase in the honorarium of Anganwadi workers and helpers, ASHA workers, and Shiksha Mitra during his speech in the legislative council on Monday.The govt, he said, is working for other contractual employees, like ‘anudeshak’ (instructors), as well.The state has around 1,82,113 Anganwadi workers and over 1,28,811 helpers. The number of ASHA workers may be around 1,68,000. The honorarium paid to them is between Rs 3,500 and Rs 4,000 per month. The CM has announced an increase in the payment made to these workers.Speaking about the initiatives taken by his govt to boost women empowerment, the CM said that UP was keen to be part of or Self Help Entrepreneur Marts (SHE-Marts), which were announced in the Union Budget 2026-27 to promote women-led micro level enterprises in rural India.
