Lucknow: Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) completed over 300 robotic surgeries in 11 months, marking advanced surgical care. A total of 305 procedures were carried out so far, with department of urology and renal transplant contributing 253 cases, followed by gastro surgery (28) and onco surgery (24). Director Prof C M Singh said the milestone reflected the institute’s focus on innovation, patient safety, and modern technology. Head of urology Prof Ishwar Ram Dhayal said robotic surgery improved precision and outcomes, especially in complex urological and renal transplant cases and the programme would be expanded to more specialties.
