6-year-old killed, 5 injured as speeding car mows down pedestrians near Hanuman Temple in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: A six-year-old boy was killed and five others, including two women and two children, were injured after a speeding car hit pedestrians near Hanuman Temple on Kanpur Road in Banthra police station area on Thursday night.The accident occurred around 8.30pm when Pramod Kumar of Sahijanpur parked his motorcycle by the roadside and purchased goods from a nearby shop.According to eyewitnesses, a car travelling from Lucknow towards Kanpur at high speed first hit his motorcycle. When locals attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver allegedly accelerated while trying to flee.In the chaos, the car hit 12-year-old Armaan. Nearly 100 metres ahead, the vehicle hit Sadhana Patel (35), her mother-in-law Meena Devi (60), and her 6-year-old son Dikshant.
