Final results for 930 computer operators in UP Police declared | Lucknow News
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) on Saturday declared the final selection results for the direct recruitment of Computer Operator Grade-A posts (2023), bringing the year-long recruitment process to conclusion.According to the board, the entire selection process for 930 posts is now complete, and the final list of selected candidates is available on its official website (uppbpb.gov.in). The result includes selections across all reserved and unreserved categories. At least 218 candidates were selected from unreserved category. Against 249 advertised posts for OBC category, 468 candidates were selected under applicable reservation and adjustment norms. Similarly, 234 candidates were selected against 193 Scheduled Caste (SC) posts, while 10 candidates were selected against 16 Scheduled Tribe (ST) posts. The board also highlighted that 142 women candidates successfully cleared the recruitment process, marking a significant female representation in the final merit list. In accordance with rules, the board adjusted category-wise vacancies. As a result, six candidates from the SC category were selected against ST vacancies due to non-availability of eligible ST candidates.Officials said instructions regarding document verification, medical examination, character verification and appointment formalities would be issued separately through the board’s website and official communication channels.A total of 1,01,396 candidates had applied for the examination, indicating high competition for technical posts. Following the written examination, objections were invited on the provisional answer key. After a detailed review by multiple panels of subject experts, the final answer key was released on Dec 10, 2025, along with the declaration of the written examination result. Candidates who qualified in the written test were shortlisted for the next stage, the computer typing test, strictly based on merit and reservation norms. The computer typing test was conducted in 2 phases — from Dec 21-24, 2025, and on Jan 18-19, 2026. Candidates who cleared the typing test underwent document verification on Jan 29-30, 2026, completing the final stage of the recruitment process.
