Modern floating ‘kund’ to come up in Ayodhya | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, is now moving towards another unique initiative in the field of religious tourism with the construction of a modern floating public bathing pond on Saryu river.Vice-chairman, Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA), Anurag Jain said that the floating ‘kund’ would be ready by the end of Feb. Jain said that the cost of the project was approximately Rs 3.5 crore. “This project will provide safe, convenient and modern bathing facilities to devotees and tourists, making Ayodhya’s tourism even more attractive,” he said.Jain said that Litmus Marine Innovation Pvt Ltd was constructing the floating bathing pond.The floating bathing pond will be based on a modern floating structure of 25×15 mts, which will be constructed from pontoons and high-strength fibre material. This structure will be able to automatically adjust according to fluctuations in the river’s water level, ensuring stability in every season.
