City girl attempts 2 Guinness records in single sitting | Lucknow News
Lucknow: With her eyes blindfolded and the clock ticking, 10-year-old Aryama Shukla stunned the audience at Lucknow University by attempting two Guinness World Records in a single sitting.In just one minute, the young prodigy recited 360 decimal places of Euler’s number, surpassing the previous records of 281 by Sanchi Gourineni of the USA and 630 decimal places of Pi, surpassing the previous record of 598 by Fang Zhao of China.
Aryama’s attempt took place at the Paranjpe Pavilion ground at Lucknow University on Tuesday, strictly following Guinness guidelines. The results will be declared after the Guinness authorities verify the feat. Last year, Aryama attempted a similar record but missed it narrowly. She is a student of City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus II, and has previously been honoured with the World Record of Excellence for reciting the entire Bhagavad Gita in 2 hours and 10 minutes. Kamlesh Kumar, scientist at the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences, served as the independent witness while Nirmal Srivastava, assistant professor of mathematics at National PG College, verified the numbers. Mohammad Tariq and Sharad Chaurasia were responsible for timekeeping.
