Saying a day was not far when India would become the AI service provider of the world, Prasada said: “In the past nine years, UP has become India’s investment destination… it is now poised to become the country’s tech destination.” He said India’s technology ecosystem, including semiconductors and advanced digital infrastructure, was developing at an unprecedented pace. “One should not be surprised if the next technology innovation in AI pops out from a tier-3 city of Uttar Pradesh,” he said. Prasada also flagged concerns over cyber fraud and misinformation, warning that the Centre would take strict action against cybercrime and the spread of fake news, while strengthening safeguards for citizens. Earlier, minister for IT and Electronics Sunil Sharma and minister of state Ajit Pal also spoke on the occasion. The event was attended by dignitaries and experts from across India and also abroad.
