Lucknow: A two-day ‘UP AI and Health Innovation Conference’ will begin in Lucknow on Monday with the objective of discussing the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the healthcare system of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the conference.The event will focus on policy, AI, healthcare delivery and digital public infrastructure, with participation from policymakers, healthcare professionals, technology experts and startups from India and abroad. AI-based diagnostics, telemedicine and health innovation are among the key themes of the conference.

On the first day, discussions will focus on the use of AI in healthcare, global experiences, digital public infrastructure, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, data governance and safe adoption of AI. Sessions will also review the status of AI applications in healthcare across Indian states.The second day will focus on practical applications, including the use of AI to support doctors, nurses, ASHA and anganwadi workers, expansion of telemedicine services in rural areas, and AI-based diagnostics in radiology, TB screening, pathology and cancer care.Startup pitch sessions and discussions on AI roadmaps for states will also be held. An Innovation and Experience Zone will showcase AI-based health solutions, startups and pilot projects implemented in Uttar Pradesh through live demonstrations.Union minister Jitin Prasada, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak, IT and electronics minister Sunil Kumar Sharma, minister of state for IT and electronics Ajit Singh Pal, and minister of state for health and family welfare Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh will be present at the inaugural session.Senior officials including CEO, state transformation commission, Manoj Kumar Singh, additional chief secretary, medical health and medical education, Amit Kumar Ghosh, and principal secretary, IT and Electronics, Anurag Yadav will address the gathering.Several senior officials from the state and central govts are also expected to attend.Representatives from NITI Aayog, National Health Authority, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, along with experts from organisations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank, Gates Foundation, and Google, will participate in various sessions.
