Medical, cash benefits of ESIS explained | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in collaboration with the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme (ESIS), Lucknow Zone, organised an ESIS awareness session and comprehensive health screening camp on Friday.The day-long programme brought together healthcare administrators, medical professionals and ESI beneficiaries to address awareness gaps and improve utilisation of ESI services.
CMO, ESIS, Lucknow Zone, Dr Rajesh Kumar highlighted role of social security schemes in preventive healthcare. Dr R Harsvardhan, medical superintendent and organising chairman, drew attention to the challenges faced by ESI workers, particularly lack of awareness among beneficiaries and healthcare staff, which often results in higher out-of-pocket expenses.
