Officials said detailed discussions took place on expanding the reach of Ayushman Bharat cards, strengthening health insurance coverage, ensuring the availability of free treatment, and improving the quality of services through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and modern medical technologies. The emphasis, they said, was on improving access and efficiency so that benefits reach citizens more effectively. Pathak directed officials to implement all identified parameters in a coordinated and results-driven manner, keeping public interest at the centre. “Health services must be strengthened in a way that directly benefits the common citizen,” he said, stressing the need for strict timelines and measurable outcomes. Officials were instructed to strengthen inter-departmental coordination, promote technological innovation, and ensure effective execution of health schemes across the state. The Deputy CM underlined that innovation and technology must be leveraged to improve service delivery, monitoring, and accountability within the healthcare system. Officials said the review was part of the govt’s broader effort to align the state’s health infrastructure and services with the national goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’, focusing on sustainability, inclusivity, and improved health outcomes. Further periodic reviews will be conducted to monitor progress and ensure that policy decisions translate into tangible improvements at hospitals and health facilities across Uttar Pradesh, officials added.
