Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Congress urged the state govt to stop the auction of Rifle Club ground in Banda, a key playground used by children and youth for physical and mental development.UP Congress president Ajay Rai wrote to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emphasising the importance of the ground for children’s health and public interest.
Rai wrote to the CM after the Banda Development Authority issued an advertisement to auction the land on Jan 21, sparking concerns over the future of the recreational space.“The playground serves as a vital hub for the city’s youth and demanded that the govt intervene to preserve it for community use,” he said.
