Kanpur: A 15-year-old girl from Kanpur was allegedly raped in a hotel in Jhansi by a man she met on Instagram.The accused, Suresh Singh, 35, has been arrested. ACP Babupurwa Dileep Kumar Singh said Suresh has been booked under BNS and Pocso sections.The accused befriended the girl on Instagram and invited her to a hotel on Dec 28 where he allegedly raped her. Suresh hails from Fatehpur district but lives in Jawahar Nagar in Kanpur. The survivor remained silent for a day but gathered courage and told her family members about the incident who then filed a police complaint on Dec 29.Police recorded the girl’s statements and gathered evidence. They arrested the accused from his Kanpur home on Wednesday. TNN
