Lucknow: In his New Year greetings to the people of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the state govt was committed to making 2026 a symbol of Antyodaya, with its focus on social justice and all-inclusive public welfare.The goal of ensuring ‘zero poverty’ will be at the centre of the policy.

In a message released on New Year’s eve, the CM wished for the happiness, prosperity, good health and bright future of the state’s people in the coming year. “The past year was a year of significant achievements for UP in the areas of good governance, strong law and order, infrastructure expansion, investment, employment generation and public welfare. The state achieved new momentum in development and ensured that the benefits of schemes reached the last person in society,” Yogi said. In the coming year, he added, the govt resolved to move forward in the direction of Viksit UP-2047. He declared that the govt would prioritise economic prosperity, employment and entrepreneurship for youth, the happiness of farmers, the self-reliance of women and a secure and dignified life for every citizen. Yogi also expressed confidence that there would be new possibilities and opportunities for every citizen in the New Year and said positive thinking, social harmony and performing civic duties would push UP in the direction of development.
