Pathak recalled that when Guru Gobind Singh’s young sons refused to convert, they were brutally executed by being bricked alive. He termed their martyrdom a defining moment in India’s civilisational history. “If Sanatan culture is alive today, the Sikh community and Guru Gobind Singh’s family have an unparalleled contribution. The entire family sacrificed itself for the protection of dharma,” he said.Mentioning that learning from history is essential to securing the future, he lamented that for decades India’s education system glorified invaders while ignoring the teachings and sacrifices of Sanatan culture. Pathak said the declaration of Guru Gobind Singh Prakash Parv and Veer Bal Diwas reflects the nation’s renewed respect for Sikh sacrifices under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Referring to governance in UP, Pathak said that after 2017, the state witnessed improved law and order, better healthcare access and enhanced public safety, in contrast with the previous regimes marked by fear and insecurity.BJP Mahanagar unit president Anand Dwivedi said the seminar was organised to ensure that the sacrifice and courage of the Sikh community reach every section of society and inspire future generations to uphold India’s cultural values.
