‘AI not just a wave, but here to reshape careers’ | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Chairman and managing director of Bajaj Finserv Limited, Sanjeev Bajaj on Monday emphasised the transformative impact of technology and that artificial intelligence (AI) is not just another wave of innovation; it is a revolution that will reshape careers, decision-making and accountability across industries.Addressing the graduating cohort at IIML, Bajaj said, “The true competitive advantage will not lie in merely using AI, but in using it responsibly, measurably, and at scale.”Bajaj told students that the world they are stepping into is not merely uncertain; rather, it is fundamentally rewired economically, technologically and geopolitically. “In such an environment, the future will not be won by those who predict best, but by those who prepare best. India’s moment on the global stage is real, but it is equally a test of execution at scale — of building systems that deliver consistently, earn trust and compound capability over time,” he said.Highlighting the importance of values-driven leadership, he said that in a world shaped by disruption and misinformation, trust will emerge as the most valuable currency. “Leadership today is defined not just by outcomes, but by governance, transparency and the courage to make responsible choices in moments that are often unseen,” Bajaj told students.Encouraging graduates to think long term, Bajaj said, “Your degree is an entry ticket, not an entitlement. As you step into a nation being reimagined, aim to become institution builders — leaders who strengthen systems, balance growth with purpose and create lasting impact for society.”Earlier, IIML director Prof MP Gupta said the institute achieved the prestigious ‘Triple Crown’ accreditation with the conferment of EFMD Quality Improvement System in the academic year 2025-26.The institute, Gupta said, has expanded its academic portfolio with the launch of four new pioneering programmes across diverse domains, including a blended MBA for working professionals and upcoming programmes in AI, technology-driven management and integrated dual degrees.
