Oral health care drive for moms-to-be

Lucknow: An oral health awareness campaign for pregnant women was organized by the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Lucknow branch, at the gynaecology department of King George’s Medical University (KGMU) to mark International Women’s Day.As part of the programme, Prof. Pragya Pandey, honorary secretary of the IDA Lucknow branch, visited the gynaecology department and distributed educational leaflets to expectant mothers.

She highlighted the importance of oral hygiene during pregnancy and early dental care for newborns, stressing the need for timely dental consultations and sharing simple guidelines to maintain healthy teeth and gums for both mother and child.Later, around 50 women members of the association gathered for a felicitation programme in Gomti Nagar, which was led by branch president Dr. Arvinder Singh and honorary secretary Dr. Pragya Pandey.During the event, guest speaker Dr. Ritu Narang from the University of Lucknow addressed the gathering on the theme ‘Unleash Your Power’, focusing on financial, mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.
