Lucknow University: 3 students injured in LU hostel clash | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Three students sustained serious injuries when they were hit with iron rods and butts of country-made pistols by four other students on the second campus of Lucknow University late on Sunday night.An FIR was lodged by the victims against the four students and others. According to the FIR, Kunal Singh, Pranav Pandey, Vikas Lahini, Amit Singh, all BTech students, along with their aides arrived at the Homi Jehangir Bhabha Hostel at around 2am in two vehicles.
They were armed with country-made firearms and iron rods and gained entry to the hostel after threatening guards at the main gate of the campus.The four accused knocked on the doors of Devesh Yadav, Ayush Tiwari and Ayush Singh, all fourth year LLB students. As soon as the students stepped out the attackers assaulted them and fled, leaving the trio with severe head injuries.“Kunal Singh has been taken into custody for questioning. We are also looking out for the others named in the FIR,” said SHO Jankipuram, Vinod Kumar Tiwari. He said CCTV footage from the campus is under review for identification of the accused.LU spokesperson Mukul Srivastava said that the four accused students were also involved in clashes on the campus earlier. “We will take disciplinary action against them,” he added.
