Man held for impersonating civil lawyer | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A 23-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly impersonating a lawyer and arguing a case inside the Lucknow Civil Court on Sunday, police said.The accused, identified as Gufran, a resident of Topkhana Bazaar under the Cantonment police station limits, reached the third floor of the court premises dressed in a lawyer’s attire. He allegedly presented himself as an advocate and was seen pleading in a case.
His behaviour and lack of familiarity with court procedures raised doubts among practising lawyers present at the spot. When questioned, he failed to produce valid Bar Council registration or any supporting documents, further deepening suspicion. The lawyers then alerted Wazirganj police station, and the man was taken into custody.
