Lucknow: BSP chief Mayawati, in an all-India meeting of the party in Lucknow on Sunday, said that the opposition parties will try to weaken the BSP in every state where it becomes strong. However, party people should face it strongly and keep moving ahead, she added.National convener Akash Anand, vice president Anand Kumar, and national general secretary SC Mishra were present, along with the presidents of the party units in every state. Mayawati reviewed the organisational work of the state units and issued necessary instructions.Addressing the party workers, the BSP chief said that opposition parties and their govts are losing credibility because of their schemes and actions, which do not favour the poor, farmers, and bahujans (SCs, STs, and religious minorities).“Therefore, in UP, the party has a big responsibility, where it became a new hope for people. This is because of the four times that the party formed govt in the state,” said the former UP CM.She also spoke about the trade deal with America and said that the Indian govt faces a big challenge in keeping the interests of farmers and bahujans secure. “It is better if India did a deal based on its terms and conditions,” Mayawati said.
