Woman alleges rape, forced prostitution on job promise | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A 20-year-old woman from Delhi alleged that she was lured to Lucknow with the promise of a job and subsequently raped, blackmailed and forced into prostitution. Police registered an FIR on Monday.The complainant, a resident of Daryaganj in New Delhi, stated that in 2021 she came into contact with Kamru Jamal alias Javed, a native of Kishanganj, Bihar, while searching for employment. According to her statement, Kamru offered to help her secure a job and asked her to come to Lucknow.The woman alleged that after she arrived in Lucknow, the accused took her to a café in the Gomtinagar, where she was allegedly intoxicated and raped. She claimed that an obscene video of the assault was recorded to blackmail her. According to the complaint, she was then taken to a spa centre where other accused — identified as Zafar Hayat Idrisi, Kamar Hayat Idrisi and Aamir, among others — allegedly raped her and recorded videos.The woman alleged that she was forcibly sent to spa centres in Lucknow, Faizabad and other locations, where she was compelled to have physical relations with multiple clients. The accused allegedly charged substantial sums of money from customers, while she was threatened and assaulted if she resisted.She claimed that she was kept confined for several days and prevented from contacting anyone after her mobile SIM card was broken and discarded. Inspector Brijesh Chandra Tiwari of Gomtinagar police station said that a case was lodged and the matter was under investigation.
