To enhance field outreach, Rs 15 crore was allocated under the capital head for the procurement of dedicated vehicles for women beat personnel and the Women and Child Security Organisation. The move is expected to significantly improve the on-ground presence of women officers in both urban and rural areas. Additionally, Rs 2.69 crore was provided under the revenue head for vehicle maintenance, fuel, and operational logistics, ensuring uninterrupted mobility for regular area visits, school and college awareness drives, and prompt responses to complaints. Further, Rs 7.31 crore was sanctioned to strengthen the Women Power Line with advanced machinery, equipment, and technological infrastructure. The upgrade will improve call-handling capacity, digital monitoring, and case-tracking systems, ensuring that distress calls are addressed swiftly and efficiently. Mission Shakti centres serve as dedicated support units within police stations, offering counselling, legal guidance, and immediate intervention in cases involving harassment, abuse, stalking, trafficking, and child safety.
