The CM added that in Indian tradition, festivals and celebrations are powerful mediums for uniting society, strengthening cultural consciousness and reinforcing national sentiment. On Friday, crores of devotees were expected to take a holy dip in Triveni Sangam at the Prayagraj Magh Mela, a living symbol of Indian faith, spiritual consciousness and eternal tradition. “It strengthens the spirit of self-purification, spiritual practice and public welfare and further reinforces the global prestige of India’s cultural heritage. Basantotsav heralds nature’s renewal, life’s joy and the new cycle of creation. Throughout the country, the festival of Basant Panchami and Saraswati Puja is celebrated with devotion, dignity and collective joy,” he said.
