Lucknow: Tributes were paid to Swami Vivekananda, Hindu monk, philosopher, author and religious teacher, by various organisations on his 162nd birth anniversary on Monday.Guide Samaj Kalyan Sanstha organised a function at Ramakrishna Math, Lucknow, and honoured Bharatanatyam guru Amrit Sinha with the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Samman 2026.
Rashtriya Sanatan Sangh organised a walk from UP Sangeet Natak Akademi.The Sangh also organised a symposium on the occasion. The chief guest was UP minister of state for forest and climate change Arun Kumar Saxena. Another symposium was organised by Yuva Rashtra at Vishv Samwaad Kendra.RSS Kshetra Dharam Pramukh Abhay said that Swami Vivekananda envisioned a harmonious and self-respecting society. State information commissioner PN Dwivedi said that Swami ji’s speech at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893 was not merely a religious discourse, but a global proclamation of India’s civilisational spirit.
