IndiGo to start Kanpur-Navi Mumbai flight by Jan-end | Lucknow News

Kanpur: IndiGo Airlines is set to connect Kanpur with Navi Mumbai by the end of this month.An agreement was signed between the civil aviation minister and IndiGo Airlines in this connection.The decision has been taken considering the increasing number of passengers. Currently, IndiGo operates only one daily flight from Kanpur to Mumbai.Discussions are underway to start flights to Ahmedabad and Pune as well. Flights to both these cities may start from Feb, and the schedule will be released soon. Airport director Pradeep Yadav said, “The schedule for the new flight to Navi Mumbai will be released by Jan-end. Discussions are also ongoing for flights to Ahmedabad and Pune.”General secretary of Provincial Industries Association (PIA), Atul Seth, said: “This is a positive step for Kanpur’s industrial sector and common people. Now, people will not have to go through Mumbai to reach Navi Mumbai.”
