2 friends die as motorcycle, truck collide in Azamgarh | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Two friends met a tragic end after their motorcycle rammed into a truck in Azamgarh on Sunday night. According to police, Santosh Yadav (35) and Sandeep Yadav (33) of Bhagwanpur village in Azamgarh were going on a motorcycle at an estimated speed of 70 kmph when they collided sideways with a truck coming from Varanasi direction.
The impact was so severe that their necks hit the truck’s footrest, severing their heads.Residents said that the stretch of road where the accident took place was curved, making it prone to accidents.Circle officer, Sadar, Aastha Jaiswal reached the spot and supervised the proceedings. The truck driver and cleaner were taken into custody for questioning, and further legal action was underway.Both the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.Police said investigations were on and CCTV footage of the accident was being examined.
