Govt for 100% DBT coverage under family ID, says UP chief secretary | Lucknow News
Lucknow: In a review of the Family ID-Ek Parivar Ek Pehchan scheme on Friday, chief secretary SP Goyal said that 100% beneficiaries of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes should be covered under Family ID.He directed all departments to link their various schemes and services with the Family ID database and share data at prescribed intervals.
To obtain data of state beneficiaries covered under Central govt schemes, the CS directed concerned departments to coordinate with the respective ministries and departments through the CS’s office. This data too has to be integrated with the Family ID database. He said that potential beneficiaries for various schemes have been identified based on the Family ID database, and these have to be linked with relevant schemes on priority basis.Principal secretary, planning, Alok Kumar gave a detailed presentation on the Family ID scheme. A demonstration of the Family e-Passbook was also give in the meeting. This passbook will allow citizens to view information about govt schemes and services being availed by their family members, in addition to information on what schemes and services they are eligible for based on the Family ID database.
