During the meeting, the CM said all revenue-related matters should be decided strictly on merit and that the department must ensure disposal of all cases within stipulated timelines. “A system should be developed under which work related to mutation and inheritance cases can be carried out in auto mode. This will be extremely important for providing easy and time-bound justice to citizens,” he said. Directing the department to complete digitisation of land records at the earliest, the CM said monitoring mechanisms should be simplified for the benefit of the common people. He added that change of land use under Section 80 should be made simple and transparent, and a call centre-like system should be developed at the Revenue Council level to address public grievances. The CM also directed the department to resolve all pending cases related to farmer registry, land measurement and khasra verification within the stipulated time, and to make services such as income, caste and residence certificates more effective and transparent. He instructed officials to ensure that construction of boundary walls to protect statues and memorials of Dr BR Ambedkar installed in gram panchayats is completed at the earliest. He asked revenue officials to ensure smooth arrangements at night shelters and lighting of bonfires at public places.
