Ayodhya airport completes 2 years,caters to over 7 lakh passengers | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya has completed two years of successful operations since its inauguration on Dec 30, 2023, just ahead of the consecration of Ram Lalla at the grand temple. During this period, the airport has catered to 7,85,412 passengers.Currently, around 20 flights operate daily from the airport, connecting Ayodhya to major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Although some routes to Darbhanga, Kolkata, Patna and Jaipur were temporarily suspended due to operational reasons, plans are underway to resume them soon. Leading airlines including IndiGo, SpiceJet and Air India have strengthened connectivity, making Ayodhya a key travel hub.
The airport boasts modern amenities such as parking facilities, prepaid taxi counters, gift and sweet shops, food courts, business lounges, free Wi-Fi, and cab services.
