Play puts light on efforts of three RSS chiefs | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Contributions made by the first three sarsanghchalaks (chiefs) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were staged in the play, ‘Sangh Ganga Ke Teen Bhagirath’, at Kala Mandapam on Monday.Organised by Tararani Foundation and Radhika Creation as part of the centenary celebration of RSS, the chief guest on the occasion was the All-India pracharak pramukh of RSS, Swant Ranjan. The play was written by Shridhar Gadge, directed by Sanjay Pendse and music was given by Bhagyashri Phadnis. It portrayed the lives of RSS founding chief KB Hegdewar who was succeeded by MS Gowalkar and thereafter Madhukar Dattatraya Deoras.
Swant Ranjan, while praising the performance of the artists, said, “Sangh is not individualistic. It inspires people to work together for the nation and society. That is why it has completed 100 years and will go further.”The play began by showcasing the revolutionary nature of a 10-year-old Keshav, who told his teacher that he aimed to remove the Union Jack flag and replace it with the kesariya flag. He later established RSS. When Hegdewar grew old, he chose Madhav to be his heir. Madhav further strengthened the organisation. When he became ill, he gave the position to Deoras.
