Lucknow: City witnessed a celebration of grassroots sports as the grand finale of the Inter-School and Inter-Club Football Championship under the Sansad Khel Mahotsav and Sarojininagar Sports League (Phase-8) was held at Jai Jagat Park in LDA Colony. The event, organised under the leadership of Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh, was dedicated to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the eve of his birth anniversary.
Addressing players and spectators, Rajeshwar said the sports field is the greatest school of life, where character is built, discipline is learned, and health becomes a lifelong asset. Chief guest and MP Dinesh Sharma praised the consistent organisation of sports leagues in Sarojininagar, calling it a model constituency for nurturing talent. In the finals, Stella Maris clinched the Inter-School title, while Techtro FC won the Inter-Club championship.
