Cold wave in Lucknow: All pre-primary, nursery schools closed until Dec 27; classes 1–8th to run 10 am–3 pm from Dec 24 | Lucknow News
LUCKNOW: The Lucknow district administration on Tuesday issued an order to close all pre-primary and nursery schools until December 27 due to severe cold and dense fog.According to the order, classes from Class 1 to Class 8 in all board-affiliated schools will operate only between 10 am and 3 pm, starting December 24 and until further notice.
District Magistrate Vishal Jeet said the decision was taken in view of the prevailing cold wave conditions and weather forecasts issued by the Meteorological Department. He directed schools to strictly comply with the order to ensure the safety of students.
The district administration said the order aims to minimise students’ exposure to harsh weather conditions. The authenticity of the directive can be verified on the official district website, lucknow.nic.in.
