Lucknow: Education is meant to develop human potential, not merely generate income, said Allahabad High Court judge, Justice JJ Munir, while paying tribute to Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya.Justice Munir highlighted Malviya’s life and ideals during a programme organised at Mahamana Shikshan Sansthan, Arjunganj, run by Bhaurao Deoras Seva Nyas, to mark the birth anniversary of Malaviya.He recalled Malaviya’s role in founding the Banaras Hindu University and his historic intervention in the Chauri Chaura case. “Education is meant to develop human potential, not merely generate income,” Justice Munir said.RSS eastern UP prant pracharak Anil said the institution was carrying forward Malviya’s vision by supporting talented but underprivileged students.The programme was chaired by Prof MLB Bhatt, who described Malaviya as an editor, journalist, lawyer, educationist and statesman.Several academicians, social workers and students attended the event.
