CM to inaugurate king Suheldev’s memorial in Bahraich on June 10 | Lucknow News
Bahraich: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to inaugurate a grand memorial of Maharaja Suheldev – a revered historical figure known for his valour and commitment to protecting the dignity of Hindu culture – during his visit to Bahraich on Tuesday (June 10).Confirming the development, BJP MLC and state vice-president Padmasen Chaudhary said that Maharaja Suheldev, hailed as the ‘Hindu Hriday Samrat’ (ruler of Hindu hearts), had defeated Sayyid Salar Masud Ghazi, the general of foreign invader Mahmud of Ghazni. “Despite his heroism, Maharaja Suheldev’s contributions were long forgotten in the pages of history. To immortalize his legacy of sacrifice and bravery, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to establish a magnificent memorial near Chittaura, in Bahraich district,” he said, thanking the CM on behalf of the people of Bahraich.“I had invited the CM for the inauguration, and despite his busy schedule, he graciously accepted the invitation to attend the event on June 10,” he said.Chaudhary said that the district administration under DM Monika Rani was making preparations to ensure the success of the programme.Chaudhary urged people to participate in the programme in large numbers and help in placing Bahraich at the forefront of the state’s cultural map.
